Celebrate the legalization of civil unions in Illinois with a mass ceremony at the Chicago History Museum – photography and flowers provided. Couples and individuals are both welcome, and cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and dancing will all accompany this important celebration.

Come watch the ‘80s classic “The Goonies” at Lincoln Hall. In addition to seeing one of your childhood favorites on the big screen, you can also get specials on Budweiser drafts, Busch Light tallboys and pineapple-infused vodka drinks, all of which will be priced at $3.

Saturday, June 4
Arrive early at this year’s Printers Row Lit Fest to get the best buys from local book dealers. Aspiring authors should be sure to catch “Pitchapalooza” on the center stage at 4 p.m.

Whether your mustache is the real deal or just a fake, you can join in on the fun in this second annual bar crawl through Wrigleyville, which kicks off at Goose Island. The event proceeds will benefit the Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Sunday, June 5
Sign up for a 5K run or 10K walk through Lincoln Park Zoo. Participants who raise money for the zoo as well can get special rewards. Meanwhile, kids 10 and under can do a mini-race inside the zoo to earn a prize.

A new monthly art and food fair called Dose Market debuts this weekend at the River East Art Center. The items offered will range from boutique clothes and jewelry to gourmet foods and sweets.

This Roscoe Village weekend fest features tons of great family-friendly games and activities, including jumpy houses, face painting and children’s music. On Sunday, stick around for the 7th Heaven concert at 7 p.m., a local band known for performing 30 songs in 30 minutes.
