Dating Do's & Don'ts: Creepy 1949 Instructional Film For Teens (VIDEO)

Oh, if only the MST3K guys had gotten their hands on this piece of work. See, back in 1949, teens had Kodachrome movies to teach them about every aspect of their social lives. This one features a young man by the name of Woody going on his first date, and it presents all sorts of helpful tips along the way. Tip number 1: Pretty girls are awful human beings. Tip number 2: Homely girls are fun and cheap.

Creepy? How about refreshing? Imagine people actually taking time to consider what is appropriate, minding their manners, using proper phone etiquette, respecting one another, themselves and the guidance of older siblings and parents, taking time to try and look halfway decent (striped dress notwithstanding) and not having their minds and vocabulary in the gutter. We could use more of this kind of creepy.

Being decent does not equate with being uptight...when you see how far our society has fallen in how we treat each other and act/dress in public, I wouldn't mind rewinding to the manners and wholesomeness of 1949. Bring it on!
