[UPDATED: The Agora Gallery "charges an annual fee for its representation and promotion services," according to its website.]

For most four-year-olds, artistic abilities means finger-painting. This is not the case of Aelita Andre, a four-year-old Australian girl, who is having her first solo exhibition in New York at the Agora Gallery in Chelsea.

Angela Di Bello, the director of the gallery, stated she judges works without knowing details about the artist and was surprised to learn the one that she wanted to feature was young child. Di Bello told NBC New York, "I saw great colors, great movement, great composition and very playful, and I thought, 'This is fantastic. Who is this person?' Only to find out, she's a child."

Andre is the youngest artist to have her work shown at the Agora Gallery, and her parents say her passion for painting began at even younger age. Her father, Michael Andre, said, "I used to paint, and I had prepared a canvas on the floor. She was nine months old and she crawled onto the canvas and she just took to it, her hands moved around the canvas."

The exhibit, called "The Prodigy of Color" has almost sold out, with several of her paintings selling for close to $30,000. Below see a video of Aelita and her work.
