Pippa Middleton Competes In Triathlon On Saturday (PHOTOS)

While her sister spent a day at the (horse) races, Pippa Middleton participated in the GE Blenheim Triathlon at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock England.

We had no clue Pips was an athlete, much less a triathlete, but you learn something new about paparazzi prey each day! (Editor's note: she apparently only did the running portion, but that's good enough for us.) According to the Daily Mail, she finished her race in 25 minutes and 30 seconds, just beating out a dude running in what appears to be half a wetsuit and no sneakers.

And what about her activewear? Because you asked, Pippa paired a gray-and-pink tank top with matching shorts and $450 Bulgari sunglasses (thanks, Daily Mail).

Go you Pippa!  She and sister Katie are the best public faces the Royals have had since Sarah Ferguson and Princess Diana married into the family and goosed the pretentious at Ascot.  I had never heard of the Blenheim Triathalon but accessed the site (http://www.theblenheimtriathlon.com).  It is a stunning setting and as Triathlons go (400 meter swim, 10 Km bike ride, and 2.5km run) is considered a sprint.  Heck, if I can get my arthritic joints to cooperate, I might send in my entry for the 2012!

The team-relay she competed in was a 5k, which a 25 min time is very good for (for a non-professional), the 2.5 K at that time would be a verrrry slow jog...

Anyway, she's fast!
