Via Curbed LA: The historical Shangri-La recording studio and personal residence to Bob Dylan has been listed for $3.195 million. The home was named 'Shangri-La Ranch' by actress Margo Albert after she starred in the film adaptation of James Hilton's 1933 classic, "Lost Horizon." According to the property's website, Rob Fraboni designed and built the studio additions during the 1970's- under the watch of Bob Dylan and The Band. Levon Helm (drummer for The Band) described the home as, "...a clubhouse and studio where we and our friends could record albums and cross-pollinate one another's music."

The four bedroom-three bathroom house, along with the recording studios were featured in Martin Scorsese's 1978 documentary, "The Last Waltz." Beej Chaney (singer/guitar player for The Suburbs) thoughtfully renovated the recording studios and updated the home before listing it on the market. This is the first opportunity to purchase the home in over thirty years.
