Wolfgang Puck Launches Wine Label

Wolfgang Puck Launches Wine Label

In his continued quest for food world domination, Wolfgang Puck has now launched his own wine label ("Two Buck Puck?" remarked wine blogger Talia Baiocchi). The wine will be sold at most of Puck's fine dining, bistro and catering restaurants nationwide (already available on the Home Shopping Network is a nine-piece Wolfgang Puck wine set).

The wine, produced by California's Delicato Family Vineyard, is available in four 2009 varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It retails for about $8 per glass or $32 per bottle. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Keep Memory Alive, an organization that raises money to cure neurocognitive disorders.

Perhaps he'll follow in Morimoto's footsteps and launch a craft beer label as well. Then again, he's already doing pretty well for himself.

UPDATE: An alert reader writes in to tell us that actually Puck already tried the beer thing and it didn't fare so well. Alas, you can't win 'em all.
