There's justice in Brisbane, she just no longer has her scale.
At the Supreme Court, Lady Justice's scales have disappeared, the Courier Mail reported.
Instead of the balance hanging from the figure's raised left arm, "she now looks like she's cheering before she goes into battle," one passerby told the newspaper.
But justice shall soon prevail because the missing scales were taken away for cleaning and repairs. A Justice and Attorney-General spokesman said the prop would be reunited with the rest of the Greco-Roman image soon, news.com.au, an Australian news gathering website, reported.
The vanishing scales are reminiscent of another judicial lost and found incident from March. A gavel went missing from an Ohio courtroom, although in that case videotape footage showed a man stealing it from the judge's bench.
