Catholic Priest Nabbed For Exposing Himself On Florida Beach

Police arrested a Catholic priest for exposing himself to an undercover detective on a beach in Englewood, Fl., near Sarasota.

Rev. Bernard Chojnacki, 36, a priest at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, allegedly flashed the holy of holies to a cop who was patrolling the area because of complaints about lewd activity, the Bradenton Herald reported.

Police claim Chojnacki grabbed an officer inappropriately and said he wanted to perform a sex act, the Sarasota Herald reported. The Herald also said the Diocese of Venice (Fl.) has put the priest on administrative leave until the case is resolved.

The Diocese of Venice appointed Chojnacki to St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Port Charlotte in December 2009, Patch reported.

Chojnacki was charged with exposure of sexual organs and battery on June 7. The incident took place at 1 p.m.

I know him and I am in shock and disbelief I just heard about it yesterday, he was our Deacon for about three months just in shock over this no words can describe how I feel. This is so sad.

What's the problem? the priest is the "parna" of father Curie. Also he's admirer of congressman Weiner. He's only followin those two...! but in case of problem, he will become an anglican. No problemo...!

Doesn't surprise me in the least. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood and as a Roman Catholic. One of the priests in the parish drove an IROC-Z, and used to sunbathe on the roof of the garage next to the rectory.

And there was also a priest caught with a woman in that parish.

Sorry, a little promise to a non-existent deity isn't enough to tamp down hormonal urges.

I think entrapment is an excellent way to catch criminals,it only works when people break laws. I don't care how they are caught as long as they are punished. There is no defense or acceptable excuse for anyone exposing themselves.
This priest should be removed as a priest and thrown in jail for a very long time. His behavior is even more offensive because he is a priest. Obviously the Cathlic church is still condoning deviant behavior even though it claims to be cleaning up its act.

Some people have way to much time on their hands. It is a shame they can't put it to good use. Personally I think Wiener should be gone from public office. Just because he is so proud of his anatomy that doesn't mean other people are, like our kids! I guess that is just the liberal world we live in today. They use to put people in jail for less than that.

Not all priest behave this way. I have some great friends who happen to be Priests and they are the most loving, caring human beings on the planet so there are a few that are bad but that does not make them all bad.
