Anthony Weiner Lewd Photo Scandal Targeted In New Ad (VIDEO)

Anthony Weiner Lewd Photo

First Posted: 06/10/11 10:04 AM ET Updated: 08/10/11 06:12 AM ET

A third party group is out with a new ad targeting ongoing controversy surrounding Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), who admitted earlier this week to engaging in inappropriate online relationships with six women after initially denying any wrongdoing when a lewd photograph was sent to a Washington state college student from his Twitter account.

Ending Spending Inc., a 501(c)(4) backed by Chicago Cubs owner Joe Ricketts, is responsible for the spot. In addition to addressing "Weinergate," the clip also highlights other politicians who have become embroiled in sex scandals in recent years.

"Sex, lies and videotape, Washington-style," says a narrator in the beginning of the ad. "In a time of record debt, some in congress are not taking the spending crisis seriously. John Edwards sex tape with a campaign aide, indicted on federal charges. Senator Ensign's tawdry affair with his chief of staff’s wife, pays to keep her quiet. Married Congressman Lee, resigns after topless photo on Craigslist. And now, Weinergate, lewd photos sent to college students, explicit phone calls, one lie after the next. Next time, congressman, please just show us your plan for ending spending."

I don't think I will go to Wrigley Field anytime soon. The Cubs are losers, the stadium is a dump, and the owners are a bunch of propagandists. I grew up in Chicago watching the Cubs, Now we have a horrible team, an owner asking for gov handouts, then slamming the government that said
"no". I should think that he's not so stupid as to think that will bring more people to the games. I sat in Wrigley for the first time last year since around 1990. I probably will never return. I love baseball, but no thanks.

Gee.....it isn't like Weiner asked taxpayers to pay to fix up a stadium for him.

The VIDEO is anoter example of the GOPT supporters, where are the GOPT CONGRESS LEADERS WHO ARE STILL SERVING AND HAD THEIR OWN SEX AFFAIRS. The difference is the DEMOCRATS DEMAND that they ill served congress leaders do the right thing and leave while the GOPT continue to hide behind more tax cutts for their oligarchy buddies!

There are many examples of GOP guys that get caught in sex scandle (much milder than this one in fact) and are out before you can say "Boo". But I wouldn't expect YOU or any of your ilk to let facts get in the way of ideology.

Joe has bigger problems than Weiner, the Cubs.

The losers are not so lovable anymore.

He shouldn't be having conversations with minor, save his own. Period!

That is a ridiculous thing to say. Someone calls up a legislator saying they are doing a report for their civics class, the official should say if you are not 18 I cannot talk to you.

They are trying to cultivate a tro!!-rich environment. Expect to see more name calling nastiness until you've had enough and abandon HP altogether. This may very well be my last post.

This is exactly the reason I think he should resign. They will pound all the Dems with this. Though he is not the only one he is the most recent one.

Wait for it.... ah.... there it is.... the next Republican scandal!

He is up for reelection in 2012, that is soon enough. His constituents can decide then.

If he were to resign, we would have to pay for a special election and this whole thing would drag on even longer.

Weiner never had a plan for ending spending. Ending all spending is a horrible goal, and would amount to completely dismantling the U.S. Which I can only presume is what these people are trying for?

Sadly this is only the beginning for these guys. Look for more Weiner ads to follow. They will chew on this until the elections.

Does the Cubs owner know that Weiner lives in New York and not Chicago? Does he realize that no crimes have been committed or is the owner over 80 and cant read or hear?

so the rich people who didn't like that weiner were exposing them and threatening their huge tax welfare are doing everything they can to try to keep him from speaking out against them again.
shows how effective he was at getting his message across. if he is able to survive this scandal (he didn't even have real sex, and he obviously isn't a good liar, so maybe he doesn't do it often), if his constituents support him since he has worked so hard for them in the future, then he could really be a thorn in their side again. weiner was and is a huge supporter of getting rid of huge tax breaks for the wealthy and keeping programs that help regular people.
