Anthony Weiner Photos & Fallout: Congressman Says Online Contact With Teen Not Indecent

WILMINGTON, Del. – U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, who has been under fire after admitting to sending graphic photos to women online, has acknowledged he had online contact with a 17-year-old girl but said the communications were "neither explicit nor indecent."

FoxNews.com reported that New Castle County police officers went to a high school junior's home Friday afternoon to speak with the girl's mother about the teen's contact with the New York Democrat. A FoxNews.com reporter was at the home when police arrived.

The girl, whose name is being withheld because she is a minor, told FoxNews.com, "I'm doing OK."

The police left the home after about 30 minutes, followed by the daughter and mother, who left in a separate car. It was not clear if the mother and daughter were going to continue the conversation with police at another location.

A Weiner spokeswoman issued a one-sentence statement Friday night that said, "According to Congressman Weiner, his communications with this person were neither explicit nor indecent."

Weiner, a seven-term Democrat, has admitted sending sexually explicit messages over the Internet to a half-dozen women over the past three years. House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi has asked for an ethics investigation.

If he would have gone online 100's of years ago in the day's of the thirteen colonies and exchanged photos with women he may have been burned at the stake. Times have sure changed since those days of antiquity. Imagine if they had play boy magazine back then, the witch hunt would have killed hundreds of thousands of men. Today we realize men are naturally attracted to women and its not necessary to burn them at the stake because of their desires.

Actually, there is no indication that their contact was inappropriate at all - other reports from the family/parents have said it was innocent. While I don't condone the things he has done, it is both unjustified and wrong to indicate he has been inappropriately associating with minors. My own daughter was very politically savvy at 17 (she is 22 now) and has been following certain politicians since her teens. I certainly would not have thought it outrageous if they talked to her about issues or the job, as she was interested in political action as a career.

I love all of the repubs on this board saying "typical libs" when they're part of the party of solicitation of prostitutes, tapping a foot for a gay "hook up" in an airport, and texting sexually harassing messages to staffers. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. He was immature and he was stupid to think he wouldn't get caught, but seeing as this has NOTHING at all to do with his work, I really couldn't care less. He's not the first politician to get caught in a sex scandal and he's not the last. At least he's not like the republicans who scream "FAMILY VALUES" from the top of their lungs and then turn around and call a madame to have a prostitute sent over.
