Eccentric White Stripes frontman Jack White and model Karen Elson have called it quits after six years of marriage and are celebrating their amicable split with a party to reaffirm their friendship and commitment to their two kids.

In a joint statement, the couple said, "We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee. We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow."

Below, a few moments from the pair's rock-n-roll relationship.

Jack White met British model Karen Elson in 2005 while shooting The White Stripes music video for their single "Blue Orchid," during which video director Floria Sigismondi said "you sensed an energy between them." Only a few months later the band's website reported their marriage "on the confluence of three rivers -- the Rio Negro, the Solimones and the a traditional shaman priest on a canoe at the exact point where the three rivers met." White's ex-wife and bandmate Meg White served as a bridesmaid to Elson.
