It seems like everyone was talking about--and strumming--the Les Paul Google Doodle on Thursday. Rachel Maddow is part of everyone, so she was no exception. On her Thursday program, she showed viewers an experiment she conducted: spelling out the first names of presidential candidates to see which one sounded the nicest.
"Barack," she said, sounded like "a jingle for an oil company," which, in terms of melodiousness, was a good thing to her. "Mitt" had a nice ring, and "Thaddeus" sounded like it had a "sort of 90s grunge vibe." The worst? "Sarah," which, Maddow said, produced an unpleasant sound.
