Victoria Beckham Not Taking Maternity Leave
Victoria Beckham plans to keep designing before, ostensibly during and right after the birth of her baby girl next month, Glamour UK reports.
The songstress-turned-designer joked with the glossy, "Maternity leave -- what's that? I've been working incredibly hard so I'm prepared for next season." She added, "My husband and children will always be my priority. But for me, what I do professionally doesn't feel like a job...It's my passion to make women look and feel beautiful and the highest compliment I can receive is when women enjoy what I'm doing."
On Tuesday, Beckham won Accessory Designer of the Year at British Glamour's Women of the Year, an honor she accepted via satellite. Earlier this year, her handbags created a fashion frenzy after they hit Net-A-Porter, one of the styles selling out in 60 seconds, and another gone within hours.
Beckham thanked both readers and her team on Twitter, writing, "Thank you to all the @GlamourMagUK readers!!" and, "Congratulations #victoriabeckham team!! We WON the Glamour Accessory Designer of the Year!!! Thank you so much all for your hard work! x vb"
According to the Daily Mail, Beckham, her husband David, their three sons and soon-to-be daughter may or may not be moving back to London come late summer.
