'Cowboys And Aliens' New Trailer: Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford In Jon Favreau Film (VIDEO)

While the mystery behind JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg's throwback sci-fi with a heart epic "Super 8" is a very important part of its charm, the marketing behind another legend-packed big screen blockbuster has been surprisingly frank. After all, the entire plot is in the title.

In Harrison Ford (Han Solo, Indiana Jones) and Daniel Craig (James Bond), the upcoming "Cowboys & Aliens," stars two generations of action legends, and makes sure to emphasize that fact in its posters, trailers and other hype-up materials. Refreshingly straight up, the title -- which perfectly encapsulates a film that is about, well, cowboys and aliens -- has its promises delivered right away in this new trailer for the Jon Favreau-directed epic.

As Jake Lonergan (Craig) wakes up in a strange western town without any recollection of how he got there, he immediately finds trouble in Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Ford). But the pair, best known in other films for their heroic deeds, soon have to team up (and are joined by Olivia Wilde) to fight off an invader quite new to the western genre.

This new trailer debuted at the Spike Guys Choice Awards on Friday; the film hits theaters on July 29th.

I don't get the caption, "What happened to Daniel Craig?" He has never been handsome in the Errol Flynn way. He has ears that make him look like a sugar bowl and his features are irregular rather than symetrical. However, he is dead sexy! It's his confidence with women that makes him so. I'll take him any day over Harrison Ford or Brad Pitt. Yum yum.

Okay, a 56 year old woman (sadly me ;-0 thinks this trailer looks very fun and interesting. Like another poster, I came to truly appreciate Craig in Defiance! He has that bony, craggy face that lends itself well to drama and an ice-cold calm. Yes, sexy but not in a Clooney or Denzel or Depp way..a CRAIG way. Yup..this looks like one to see in a theater. Favreau has proven his mettle!

Frontier Earth, by Bruce Boxleitner. Despite eerie similarities, it was not made from Bruce's book. Though I would say he has a strong legal case.

And Harrison Ford needs to stop running. He's 70. We love him. Action years, behind you. Walk. Stroll, even. I ache watching his stunt doubles nearly get close ups because he shouldn't be running. Still love him. (Han Shot First)
