AOL Travel News:

Invisible planes? Not quite Wonder Woman invisible plane, but Airbus released media galore of their future tech transparent plane concept for 2050 as reported by the Telegraph.co.uk.

On the newly launched Future Airbus Website, "A third of the people that took part in our global Passenger 2050 survey of 10,000 people said that they want the flight itself to feel like a holiday experience and to be able to access all the technological advances which fill their daily lives during the flight."

If these planes will be invisible, will the passengers be invisible too ? Everything will be possible in years to come.

Why do people want this? Making a plane "invisible" is pretty far down on my list of desires I would like to have on an airliner.

I don't want an invisible plane, besides Wonder Woman beat us to it, I want INVISIBLE BAGGAGE FEES. And while you're making things disappear, make all those ridiculous delays into Chicago and NYC go away too.

Instead of more "progress" - how about we go back in time to the 80s when we could see our loved ones off at the gate, and flight attendants were young, attractive, and polite, and didn't see themselves as a branch of law enforcement.

That's what I miss.

The stewardesses will have invisible clothes.

I give them credit for dreaming big. How many things that were science fiction when we were young are now reality? I remember rotary dial phones and punch card computers, so this plane does not seem too far fetched to me.

I actually believe that commercial air travel will become obsolete in the next 100 years. It will be replaced by Vactrains. How would you like traveling from Los Angeles to New York in 45 minutes at 5000 miles per hour?

I love the idea of being able to see out through more then just a tiny porthole. Flying is by it's very nature a fantastic journey up to and down from 30,000 feet. Why not get the full benefit of the E-ticket ride? Sign me up!

An invisible aircraft would be perfect for the airlines of the future. Actually, there would be no aircraft at all, the airlines would charge to pretend you are going to some exotic location.... plus extra for your unneeded baggage, of course.
