Elle Fanning Goes To Bar Mitzvahs, Loves Picking Out Clothes (PHOTOS)

When she's not busy walking red carpets, filming fashion videos, and generally being cute, Elle Fanning finds time, like so many other kids her age, to attend a Bar Mitzvah or two.

The 13-year-old rising star, who can be seen these days in the movie "Super 8," told Marie Claire:

"Everyone in my grade is turning 13, so there are bunches of bar and bat mitzvahs [...] They're very dressy. It's fun picking out outfits. One girl, for her bat mitzvah, wore a huge red ball gown!"

Sounds fancy! Elle also told the glossy, "I always look at runway shows online and know all of the models," while posing in pieces by Louis Vuitton, Prada, Lanvin, and Christian Dior.

"exploited" "come hither look" I think everyone seems to forget what it's like to be 13 - and to play dress up. She doesn't walk around daily looking like this. Every 13 year old plays with her mom's make up, sister's heals and aunt's nail polish. Seems like some people are projecting some unpleasantness on this lovely teenager.

It's only natural for children to play dress up. What's not natural is for adults to push pictures of it as part of a brand name.

Unless her managers are pimping her out, they shouldn't publish those pictures. Of course they are pimping her, and for that there should be some social cost.

All of these overly made-up, dressed-up "sexy" pictures of a 13-year old makes one wonder how much her "manager" charges for her to "attend" a bar-mitzbah. How to put it? Ah, very Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver, if you catch my drift.

How sad. She is already coking her hair, wearing heels and dressing Luke someone twice her age. She doesn't get to be a kid and when she us an older woman she will try to dress Luke a teenager to keep her acting career going.

I think high heels on Fanning at 13 and Suri Cruise at 5 is silly and creepy. However, Fanning, like her sister is an incredible actress. I saw her recentlly in Sophia Coppola's "Somewhere" and she has incredible acting range!

High heels and a "come to me" look on a 13 year old? Even though photo #1 one seems more age appropriate because of the color pallet it is still questionable. We are frightfully close to the very bottom of a slippery slope.

'Adorably down to earth'??? This 13 year old CHILD is being completely exploited in these pictures. Being objectified is the least of it. The pimping of her lovely innocent beauty is appalling. Her parents, who know the film business, ought to be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for putting her at such risk.

Glad I'm not the only one put off by the 2nd photo --- a bit much for a 13 year old. The others are nice...and Super 8 was really well done. The girl's got talent.
