Roughly 2,000 liberal bloggers, blog readers and political operatives are gathering in Minneapolis, Minnesota this week for the 2011 Netroots Nation conference, known originally as Yearly Kos when it was born in 2006.
The conference is being held in Ellison Country: House Progressive Caucus co-chair Keith Ellison represents Minneapolis and is a featured speaker, as is the state's senator, Al Franken. Across the street from the convention, several hundred conservative bloggers are putting together a smaller gathering.
Former White House official Jared Bernstein, Darcy Burner and Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) are among the scores of speakers at this year's Netroots Nation. The conference comes as the progressive blogosphere wrestles with how to approach a president who promised more than he delivered, while the president's opponents promise to do far worse.
The Huffington Post will be reporting from the conference all week, and you can watch the speeches and panel discussions live on the video feeds below.
