Keeping the brain cool may help people with insomnia to catch more Zs, according to new research from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The method makes sense, since melatonin, one of the more effective medications to help people sleep, also works in part by lowering body temperature.

I keep a filled hot-water bottle in the frig, use it behind my neck at bedtime. ahhhh, what a relief.

What's really worked on my insomnia this time around has been homeopathics. Yes, I know... Nux Vomica initially, off the shelf; something tailored to my needs following that. And, more remarkable than the expected insomnia relief, the nux stopped my tinnitus. Who knew??
