Father's Day Tops Mother's Day For First Time In Google Searches

Google shared an interesting stat this evening: Father's Day topped Mother's Day in Google searches this year, and that's a first.

The announcement came through this tweet: "This year, dads win for the first time: searches for father's day higher than mother's day."

Year after year, Mother's Day always gets more searches than Father's Day, typically by a 10-to-7 margin, per Google Insights. It's unclear why the shift but one theory is the holiday creeped up on folks quicker than normal this year and people wanted to verify the date.

This is great to see father are stepping forward.there is a need that some men are finding ,"to be a fathers"..

I don't know, mojones .... me and all my friends have all been full-time fathers since our kids were born. Some of us have had to fight our childrens mothers and a corrupt legal system in order to be just that to our sons and daughters. I don't know about your circles, but where I'm from we all "stepped up" the moment our children were conceived ...
