Emma Stone has already shown off her extreme zombie fighting ability, starring alongside jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson in the apocalyptic present of "Zombieland." Now, it looks like she'll be going into the past to knock some undead heads.
After running through Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson as potential leads, director Craig Gillespie and Lionsgate have offered the lead role in "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies" to Stone, extending the opportunity to play Elizabeth Bennet in the big screen version of the hit genre mashup book by Seth Grahame-Smith, Variety reports. The film is being produced by Portman's production company, Handsomecharlie Films.
It'll be yet another big step in Stone's skyrocketing career; she toplined her first film last year, in the hit comedy, "Easy A," and is the undisputed star of a much more genteel book adaptation this summer, the 60s in the south-set film, "The Help." Stone will also co-star in the highly anticipated romantic comedy, playing Ryan Gosling's love interest in "Crazy. Stupid. Love."
Then, she'll be involved in a fight with a human lizard in "The Amazing Spider-Man," as she plays Gwen Stacey to Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.
