A Humboldt State University student is missing after he was swept down the Trinity river on Sunday.
Jian Kang, who studied biology at the university, was attending a birthday party at a local camp ground when he waded into the stream and was swept down river, the AP reports.
Authorities say it is unlikely Kang survived.
