Meet William And Kate At Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club For $4,000

Meet William Kate

Prince William and Duchess Catherine will grace the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club with their presence on July 9 to attend the Foundation Polo Challenge.

People reports that the event is open to the public, which means you could rub elbows with the royal couple. But if you decide to try to chat up the prince or the duchess, you'd better bring your check book.

It costs $400 just to get in, and if you want to hangout with the VIP's like William and Kate, it will run you $4,000.

The newlyweds will make their much anticipated North American trip next month.

From the AP:

Palace officials on Monday gave details of the couple's itinerary. They will visit Canada's capital, Ottawa and the surrounding region; Montreal and Quebec City in the francophone province of Quebec; Charlottetown and Summerside on Prince Edward Island; the Northwest Territories capital of Yellowknife and the oil boom town of Calgary, Alberta. Their Alberta visit coincides with the opening of the city's world-famous rodeo event, the Calgary Stampede.

People previously reported that the couple does not see their Los Angeles visit as a chance to hobnob with celebrities.

"The couple view this as a working visit, not as an opportunity for them to meet celebrities," a palace source said.

It's amazing how the Polo Club and all involved with the visit is working so hard to keep anyone from talking and to keep press at bay. Many Americans stayed up all night or arose quite early to watch the royal wedding and really love this couple. As it turns out, we will have seen more details of their Canadian trip than their trip her. Someone's head is not straight on their shoulders.

$4000?? Yea right! I'd rather punch and kick some people in a mosh pit at Mayhem Festival that same day.
Why would they waste tax payers money to travel for charity? Yet another reason why the monarchy is not needed.

Not exactly a People's Princess is she?

I don't see the point of them getting tax money from Brittons, then jet-setting around to give it to charity. Why not just have the British Government give it directly?

What have they done to the global community or the human race lately other than wearing colorful clothings and posturing ?

I have 40 bucks in my pocket. Guess I will not be meeting them.

Yeah...no thanks. Why would someone waste 4k on two nothings or to visit any "royalty" for that matter.

I guess Paris Hilton wasn't available!

Would love to meet them, but in wrong part of the States. They are such a classy couple and I wish them the best of everything.

Really? I am not sure why anyone would pay money to meet another human being who isn;t even entertaining them. I would pay that if I could back in time to see a live Jimmy Hendrix or even Elvis concert.
