James 'Whitey' Bulger Lured Out Of Apartment With A Ruse

LOS ANGELES — FBI agents lured Boston crime boss James "Whitey" Bulger out of his Santa Monica, Calif., apartment earlier this week by telling him someone had broken into his on-site storage unit.

A law enforcement official who requested anonymity because of the ongoing investigation told The Associated Press on Friday about the scenario that led to the arrest of the 81-year-old fugitive and his girlfriend, Catherine Greig. The pair had been living in the coastal city for most of their 16 years on the lam.

The official said Bulger walked out of the apartment, was arrested without incident and consented to a search of the premises.

Inside agents found $800,000 in cash, more than 30 firearms, including pistols, rifles and shotguns, several types of knives and a variety of false identification cards.

"Ruses" by law enforcement should be illegal. If you can't get 'em the good old honest straightforward moral and ethical hardworking way, then you shouldn't be in law enforcement.

Let's get rid of the sham, shaddy, shoddy, easy-way, pull the wool over their eyes culture in America. Let's start, once again, to stand for something - TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND THE AMERICAN WAY.

You know what they say, don't you ? If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

Law enforcement, politics, business, and public office should stand as a stellar beacon of what we all believe in, live for, and die for here in America. And it doesn't.

Look around you and see what people and nations become when lying becomes the norm. Example ? Look at Mexico, our southern neighbor. Look at Iraq. Look at Afghanistan. Look at Pakistan. etc., ad nauseum.

We can choose how we comport ourselves, and this is not the way.

In fact the FBI agent who was his buddy from south boston went to jail because of that fact. They lured 81 yr old man out of his apartment. That would be a great headline. If they have to take him inside the apartment they were afraid to be beaten or knifed. FBI was busy looking for an elderly "Whitey" but things like 19-man strong 9/11 crew escapes their attention.

I do not know if Whitey Bulger is ill, but a lot of people seem to think he will be going to a Nursing Home now on the fed's $$. Whitey was a health nut. (violent health nut) He worked out, he didn't smoke or drink alcohol or "do" drugs. He was vain and considered himself "a ladies man" . The character played by Jack Nicholson was BASED on Whitey. In the U.S. we are all presumed innocent until proven guilty, I'm pretty sure he is guilty of alot of crimes, but it will be very interesting to hear testimony as time goes on.

He has already been convicted of murder, however, the FBI is still on the lam, and they covered many of his crimes up. Don't hold your breathe waiting for the Fed cops to be tried in any honest fashion.
