Vatican News Portal: Pope May Launch Church's New Website With Ceremonial Click

VATICAN CITY – The Vatican is taking a leap into the world of new media next week with the launch of a news information portal that Pope Benedict XVI himself may put online with a papal click.

Vatican officials said Saturday that Benedict has been following the development of the portal — http://www.news.va — which will for the first time aggregate information from the Vatican's various print, radio and television media in a one-stop-shop for Holy See news.

The portal is being launched Wednesday, the 60th anniversary of Benedict's ordination as a priest. Monsignor Claudio Maria Celli, who heads the Vatican office that developed the portal, said Benedict may put the site online himself with a click from the Apostolic Palace.

If some right wing freak posted that all blacks are criminals because some commit crimes, the same people who are into total radical hatred of the Catholic Church would be upset. I am a moderate, finding not much to like in either political extreme, but for sure the left is the most befuddled people in this country. Bob, where do you get your info? All are welcome to exercise their "right to be fully practicing Catholics". A person's gender or sexual identity do not matter. Of course, all who wish to follow their path to Christ via the Holy Roman Catholic Church must follow Him in line with His will for them. I work in inner city charities, dude, and the money we use for health care and shelters comes from the Catholic Churches around the country. I am sure that means nothing as haters and bigots cannot reason, but for sure I have seen thousands of lives changed by the Catholic Church.
