Michele Bachmann's 2012 Tour Goes To The Dogs On Day Two

Michele Bachmann Dog Cats Birds Foxes

06/28/11 05:30 PM ET   AP

RAYMOND, N.H. — In her new White House bid, Republican Michele Bachmann has gone to the dogs. And cats. And birds.

The Minnesota congresswoman argued in New Hampshire Tuesday that Washington is full of wasteful spending ideas.

She cited obscure bills, including one pushed by a Democrat a few years back to establish a $5 million a year conservation fund. It would have gone to help other countries protect rare foxes, wild dogs, lions, leopards and other endangered species.

The measure cleared the House but stalled in the Senate.

Bachmann, a tea party favorite, is campaigning on a theme of slimmer government while also calling for an array of tax cuts.

From New Hampshire, Bachmann headed to South Carolina. Bachmann returns to this weekend to Iowa, where she formally launched her campaign Monday.

Ms. Bachmann...you and your husband should RETURN the SOCIALIZED tax payer subsidies that you say you are so passionately against, BUT voted for and accepted for your husband's personal business, and your family's farm, that YOU have benefited from.

Either walk the walk or get off the stage.

So.. she is harping on an idea that wasn't even past, just proposed?
Talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel for something, anything. She should just give up her distraction campaign.

When has there ever been a time that silly Bills are not offered in Congress, from both sides of the isle?

if Bachmann doesn't approve of a Bill, then it's simple...vote against it. Obviously the particular Bill she gave as an example didn't pass. The system worked.

It would be nice if everyone in Congress ONLY offered PERFECT, intelligent, non wasteful, meaningful, Bills, that are relevant and helpful to the people of our Country and make us a stronger nation, and do no harm...

Bills from Congress people that spend tax payer dollars that were not for THEIR OWN personal or political gain, would be a breath of fresh air too, Ms. Bachmann.

Unfortunately the US Congress has always had some silly, incompetent, ideologues, extremists, or self-serving, officials elected to office, who do not have a clue about actually "Governing" the whole Country.

Perhaps Ms. Bachmann would like to tell us what Major IMPORTANT, intelligent, problem solving Bills/Leglislation she has personally authored and passed while representing the people in Congress...instead of complaining about other's Bills that DIDN'T pass.

Here is some of her voting record;Bachmann voted NO on food safety, NO on extending unemployment benefits, NO on extending the flood insurance program (really??), NO on financial reform, NO small business lending,, voted NO on the repeal of DADT, voted NO on the expansion of hate crimes legislation, voted NO on the establishment of the Office of Congressional Ethics, and she voted NO on pay as you go(oops), She voted YES to abolish the practice of federal funding of presidential elections. Bachmann voted against eliminating donation limits in 2010 but she did vote against the liberal DISCLOSE ACT. She voted to block the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” , favored repealing the ban on non-profits and churches from endorsing candidates.

Like the GOP including the protection of "azaleas" in their plans with a host of other GOP "pork barrel" projects.

Bachmann should educate herself on the "pet projects" the GOP sneaks into budget bills instead of presenting only one sided accusations of budgetary concerns.

The GOP does far more "pork barrel" projects than Democrats ever do, she is just criticizing to make the reality seem one sided.

Check out her own party first before pushing accusations of budgetary waste.

Talk about your husband's clinic receiving Federal funds and the federal farms subsidies your family has received!
09:43 PM on 06/29/2011
How about cutting that $3 BILLION that US Taxpayers subsidize for Corporate jets!

You're making a big deal about $5 Million... we're talking $3 BILLION here, with a 'B'.

Why should we subsidize corporate jets, even Eric cantor says that those billions are a small amount of money - yet you guys want to cut $600 Million for the WIC program, the DEP, Police and Firemen, Teachers... etc.

They pray the gay away.I'm not to sure this is a valid and approved protocol by the Medical Association. In fact,I'm wondering if this could even qualify as Medicare fraud. That would be fun, seeing an investigation on this.......
