Ex-Lehman Brothers Director Arrested, Charged With Drug Prescription Forgery

A former Lehman Brothers managing director has been arrested on charges of forging a prescription to buy drugs.

Bradley Jack, formerly of the failed investment bank, had been shopping for the drugs at a CVS pharmacy in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he lives, when an employee tipped off the cops, local Police Lieutenant James Perez told Bloomberg News. Jack, who ordered 12 pills of the painkiller Oxycontin and 9 of the stimulant Ritalin, is scheduled to appear in court on July 11, the New York Times reports.

A pharmacist became suspicious of Jack's prescription and called a doctor, which confirmed the prescription wasn't valid, Bloomberg says, adding that Jack voluntarily came to police headquarters for questioning. The document was photocopied, according to Patch, which first reported the story under the headline "Owner of Most Expensive Home in Fairfield Arrested." Jack owns a 20-acre waterfront estate in Fairfield.

The former investment banker, described as a "6-foot-tall white man in his 50s with salt-and-pepper hair," left Lehman in 2005, just over three years before it failed in the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history.
