Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has opened up about whether she'll ever become a bride.

Talking to Piers Morgan on his CNN interview show, the actress said: "I really want for myself a long-term relationship and I've been in long-term relationships... but the actual ceremony is not something that's important to me."

Theron, 35, who won the Best Actress Oscar in 2004 for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in "Monster" split from her long-term boyfriend, Irish actor Stewart Townsend, in 2010.

She also discussed her support for marriage equality rights for same-sex couples, "I respect marriage, I just feel that we should all have equal rights. Love is such a divine thing, such a gift -- who are we to say?"
