President Obama Flubs Malia's Age (VIDEO)

President Obama had the ultimate dad moment on Wednesday as he fielded questions on the deficit reduction negotiations and other topics at the White House.

While suggesting that Republicans might be the ultimate procrastinators, the prez remarked, "Malia and Sasha generally finish their homework a day ahead of time. Malia's 13, Sasha's 10. It is impressive. They don't wait until the night before. They're not pulling all nighters. They're 13 and 10. You know, congress can do the same thing. If you know you've got to do something, just do it."

Wise words! Except Malia is only 12 -- she turns the big 1-3 on Monday, July 4.

Malia is a week away from being 13. That means she is 13 in the mind of any 12 year old a week away from being 13. President Obama is very in tune with his daughters.

that lil sasha is a doll. she is cute as a button, she will be a knock out. so will mailia, but i think sasha is adorable. seeing the girls grow up and seeing how well behaved, humble, studious, full of love and curiosity well i expect great things from them, even i they choose a quieter life, they will be exceptional women.
it gives me hope. i look at all the kids having so much trouble and wish the obamas had a parenting book. or at least mo. and perhaps a chapter from the first grandma.

My friend daughter will be 23 in October, and already my friend states that she's 23. It's a parent thing to do this, because after it has passed that half way mark, then it's a given. That's how it is with parents.

HP should be ashamed....not news...not interesting...not a flub! I've gained enough discipline not to read articles related to the Palins, and I'd hate to stop reading HP. However, some of the headlines are so ridiculous and some of the stories are even more ridiculous that I'm considering letting HP go.
