Think of it as the Affirmative Action, congressional style.

Let's see - postpone for 45 days and then ask for and receive another 45 day postponement and by then it will all fade away into the ozone. Seems like these "committees" depend on the short-term memory of the people and the lack of follow-up by the media.

Why not picture both persons under investigation? Let's not be bias. We have enough of that already.

We need term limits - a better vetting process - and faster investigations when conduct requires it -
quicker and more severe punishments - including loss of pensions and retirement goodies.
Both parties need to be made to respect those of us that hire them to do our bidding.

The only thing that surprises me is that there's not more ethics investigations going on. I think both parties are equally corrupt and both have a lot of yet-to-be-found skeletons in the closet.

Just because Jean Schmidt has been taking payoff from the government of Turkey doesn't mean she's not a loyal American.

I don't give a damn which side is acting shady--if it's corrupt it should be rooted out.

Oh how shocking ! Why are we not surprised and all the TP and Gop on the site can control yourself cause your party I am sure is far from innocent. You do not wonder how the Congressman from FL has on his staff a Koch Brothers lawyer and he should not be checked into. I am not saying Democrats are innocent by no means but this is just whats in Congress today. Sad isn't that we elect people to uphold our interest and they win and its all about their pocketbooks. Something has to change or else this is what we are going to get.

Greg Meeks should have been investigated for blocking all attempts to add more regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac which caused the financial meltdown.

535 possibilities. If there aren't at least 2 dozen investigations of alleged ethics violations going on at any given moment, someone has their head in the sand. "I won't look at you if you don't look at me."

Yes. Rep. John Murtha. He passed away from complications of gall bladder surgery, I believe. That was sad.
She always looks like she had roid rage.

Did anyone catch the GOP women en masse at a hugely awkward news conference backing cutting off PP funding? For a real Kodak moment, Jean Schmidt stepped up to the mike to say,"It doesn't matter." What a Mean Jean she is. Why do Buckeyes vote for such a angry person?
