Grace Kelly & Prince Rainier III's Wedding: A Look Back (PHOTOS, POLL)

Monaco's Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock are set to walk down the aisle this weekend, but before we watch them say, "Je le veux," we'd like to take a brief look back at Albert's parent's wedding: the union of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly.

The couple's religious ceremony took place on April 19, 1956 at Saint Nicholas Cathedral in front of 600 guests and 30 million television viewers. Kelly wore a now-iconic ivory gown with lace sleeves and embroidered seed pearls, put together by Helen Rose and three dozen seamstresses. Rainier and Grace later enjoyed a wedding luncheon and drove around town in a cream and black Rolls Royce offered by the people of Monaco as a wedding gift.

My mother wishes I dressed more like Grace Kelly. Instead I prefer the mrilyn Monroe tight dresses more, but not all the time. When does a parent know when to keep their comments to themselves? My dad says, that's the way parents are, and it never changes. Any way,
her husband looks like Kenneth Branaugh. Kenneth just directed Thor. If he wasn't married, I'd fall back in love with him.

Grace was so beautiful. Yes, she did not look happy..but her attire was gorgeous.
On the other hand, Wittstock seems cold and contrived. She does not have a friendly smile. I wish them the best, but see divorce soon in the horizon. I believe that story that she was leaving for south Africa after she found out about Albert.

Are you sure about this? Grace Kelly was born in 1929. By the end of the war (1945) she would only have been 16 yr. old. She was not even an actress or prominent person at that time. She did not hit Hollywood until sometime in the early 1950s.
