Erik Packard endured two tours in Iraq, but he says they were nothing compared to the night he spent wondering if his son, Ronan would survive.
Ronan was born with a hole in his diaphragm. He had to have emergency surgery seven months ago. The procedure was successful, but Ronan's doctors visits and other medical expenses left his family with burgeoning debt.

"Without the support we got, we would have lost our house," Packard said.
