'Mark Zuckerberg' Profile Appears On Google+

A mysterious profile has appeared on Google's new social network, and it may belong to none other than Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg's profile photo (if this is indeed him) is a grainy, somber-faced closeup. He looks none too pleased about this new service, which many are calling Facebook’s most serious rival thus far.

So far, over 14,000 people have added this "Mark Zuckerberg" profile to their Google+ Circles, a feature that lets you separate your contacts into groups.

The supposed Zuckerberg profile has only 38 people in its circles. One of these friends bears the name "Dustin Moskovitz." Could this be the same Moskovitz who attended Harvard with Zuckerberg and helped found Facebook?

As with the Moskovitz page, Zuckerberg's "About" page is practically empty. His location is listed as Palo Alto, CA, and his introduction reads, "I make things."

PCMag reports that other, less genuine-looking Zuckerberg profiles may also be found on Google+. Until Google+ comes up with a Twitter-like method of verifying accounts, there's no real way to tell which are legitimate, if any.

The whole page could be a fake for all I know. I can't get on Google+ to look him up. But I wouldn't blame him for signing up and checking out the competition. That's just good business. It's a bad picture, but then again, all his pictures look bad: mug shots, deer in the headlights shots, or I've been up to something shots.

this is a markting stunt....its plain as day and google will never get called on it. or its someone messing about.

why in the world would Mark Zuckerberg help a rival gain publicity like that. a guy at the helm of a $70 billion dollar company does not do things that dumb. (they do stupider more embarrassing things)

If he is checking it out, he'd use a fake profile. (and its more then likely....well actually its more likely a team of his people are pouring over it and its features, and people reactions to them)

exactly. he is one of the greatest computer people in the world today. why would he use his own face and name. he could make a fake peorson and could prove it real even to the FBI.

Sometime back i was working for FB and moved out when i found the FB was doing business in an unethical way. Since then, i am dealing with FB victims and their sufferings. Recently, I came to know of Pradeep manukonda , accused of stalking Mark Zuckerberg(MZ).
I have been studying his case since then, and came to know of some shocking facts about the total episode from known sources.

I would like to reveal some of them to you, since TMZ and NBC universal were the first in publishing the news about him.

He acquired copyright for the source code called IDEAS (Inception and Design and E-commerce and Social Network). IDEAS is suspected to be the bone of contention when news about Pradeep stalking MZ (was doing rounds in the media). Pradeep is ready to launch his application in coming days and he is getting a huge response for his website www.myfacebooksocialnetwork.com

FB is now engaged in negotiations with him and came to know that there are paying a huge amount in return for his source code's copyright acquisitions. Once copyrights are claimed FB is planning to change some of the applications output in their website.

So can it be that reason, MZ is coming up with statements "planning an awesome surprise for user's next week".
