Lindsay Lohan Talks Returning To Acting In Italian 'Vanity Fair'

If there's one thing to admire about Lindsay Lohan, she isn't lazy. While under house arrest, the 24-year-old actress has managed to violate her parole, tape a commercial and, most recently, stage an Italian Vanity Fair photo shoot.

Not a stranger to magazine covers, (oh, how they love her!) in this VF interview, Lohan is super-duper blond and, like a cooped up teenage princess, plays dress up in her LA pad.

With her grueling month-long house arrest at an end, Lohan talks about her mistakes and her future, the gun she keeps in her pink fur jacket, the fact that jail is a terrible place and her plans to get back into acting.

And while that all sounds fine and good, here's the thing--Lohan is a number of years, and a number of rehab-stints from that fresh-face red head in 'Mean Girls.' If Lohan would be able to turn over a new leaf, could she really get her career back? It's not so much of a forgive-and-forget tale, but for this party girl, the straight-and-narrow has never been her favorite road; her reinvention could prove to be an impossibly tall order.

Cynicism aside, sure, it's possible. Like the actress said, translated from the VF article, "I want to be an actress and I'm good. You learn from your mistakes, right?"

Fingers crossed, Lindsay!

A smart manager, or agent, knows that in spite of the notoriety, in the best marketing scenarios, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

This is where her choice of roles in the near future will need to be as practically an art form. The fact that she's so well known can catapult her or literally destroy her for good. This is where her maturity and good acting sense will make all the difference. If she takes a role in something like "Transformers 4" -you might as well tell her goodbye now.

It will be interesting to watch and see. Personally, I love Linds... Sure hope she picks a good one. Good luck, babe.

Can Lindsay Lohan Make A Comeback? No. That ship has sailed. More talented -- and deserving -- people have filled any void she left. She is a freak-show novelty draw now, a car crash on two feet. I don't even wish her well anymore, mostly I just wish she would go away and hide so we are not witness to her trainwreck of a life.

Come Back as what? Did I miss her blockbuster movie? Or Oscar worthy performance.... Unfortunately I believe she is the new "child actor turned into adult tabloid fodder"- unless she becomes the next Glenn Close- she stays right where she is... sorry Lilo

I always laught at the press when the use the term 'come back'. I would believe that one would have to be out of the lime-light and press to be gone...then a few years later...re-appear for a 'come back'. But Lindsay has star quality and will always be in the press for one reason or another.
