Squirrel Narrowly Avoids Lamborghini (VIDEO)

That squirrel can scoot!

During the Ultimate Lamborghini Experience 4 last month, a squirrel manages to narrowly escape an encounter with a Lamborghini LP670-4 SV traveling at 100-plus miles per hour.

The video's description includes an update that states, "Does look like the little one lost part of its tail. Hope the Squirrel is ok." After viewing the footage, one has to be thankful the critter wasn't killed.

One of the event organizers insists the footage is un-doctored.

"It's 100 percent authentic," said Elie Rothstein, one of the owners of Al & Ed's Autosound, which put on the event. "We had cameras set up all over the track to get footage on our drivers. Only a couple days later do we see this. And I was like, 'What?!' It blows your mind."

I live in the Rockies. On yesterday's drive into the mountains this happened at least 5 times. 20-30 rodent crossing with 5 near misses in about 30 miles. That's in a jeep doing 20-30 mph. Anyone who lives in the county would have to say, "Awesome video for city folk maybe"

True Story: I was taking a leisurely ride on the bike path one day, and a ground squirrel (the Thirteen-lined variety if you must know) appeared a good ten yards directly in front of me on the path. We both had plenty of time to size each other, and the situation up. I decided that if I swerved to miss him, he could run to avoid me and I might end up hitting him. I decided to just keep heading straight for him, sure that he would run in one direction or the other, and disaster would be averted.

You guessed it. I keep going straight ahead, and he just sat there and watched me as I ran him over.
The poor fella. I felt sooo bad. I suppose the moral of the story is never to trust a Thirteen-lined ground squirrel's sense of self preservation.

in that case yes if a TP squirrel jumped off a bridge the rest of them would too, then blame the result on the libs, and ask for tax cuts for the squirrel so that MAYBE more acorns would trickle down everyone else's way.
