Jesse Grund, Casey Anthony's Ex-Fiance, Calls Family A 'Carnival Of Dysfunctionality'

First Posted: 07/06/11 01:50 PM ET Updated: 09/05/11 06:12 AM ET

Casey Anthony's ex-fiance Jesse Grund calls the Anthony family a "carnival of dysfunctionality."

In an interview with NBC's Matt Lauer, Grund says he witnessed the dynamics between Casey, her parents, and her brother, and says that "there is no way Casey goes back home."

"There is no way they have any semblance of a normal family life," he says.

Grund says he fell in love with a 19-year-old Casey Anthony in 2005, and at one point, he believed that he was Caylee's father.

On Tuesday, Casey was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old child.

Lauer asked Grund what he would tell Casey, if he saw her today. "I would tell her she needs to repent, because at the end of the day, she is going to have to answer for why Caylee isn't on this earth anymore."

I want to state that my previous posts was to see the reaction I would get and boy I got a lot of it but I want to clear it up here. I know Casey is GUILTY. Yes I was wanted her to found Not Guilty for many reasons: she is the age of my daughter, she looks similiar to my daughter and my daughter has a 3 yr old and now a 1 1/2 month old. I was picturing my daughter in the situation and couldn't fathom her ever hurting her kids; I was personalizing it. That family are all GUILTY and I hope they all suffer from guilt for the rest of their lives for what they did. I love my grandchildren more then life itself, to harm a hair on their head I can't even imagine.

You have to wonder about the cholorform issue also, it's not easy to make. If you look at picture of Caylee she looks drugged. Was it established if Casey gave Caylee it or not?

Sadly, Casey Anthony has shown the sickos of America how to kill your child and get away with it. Make sure that the prosecutor ends up with a 'dry bones' case.

So...

I still believe that the baby died accidentally, and I still believe George was in on that...I still believe Cindy is a domineering woman, who literally scares the rest of the bunch.

Though that type of fear is often more a fear of being disapproved of and condemned, than anything else.

I still believe Cindy acted more like Caylee's mother than grandma, and I still believe Casey resented her for it and tried to get away from that family with the dude up there ^^^...she spent all her time with him, his family & Caylee, that seems to show she was happy to have somewhere to escape to. LOL

I think she was always trying to find somewhere and someone to escape to.

George tampered with evidence, committed adultery while the baby was still missing, endangered Casey's bail by bringing a gun on the premises, lied and changed his stories in official documents and "supposedly" wanted to commit suicide.

...but for what, did he get a conscience? LOL

None of those things equate to a professional ex law enforcement official, just a not so bright, wuss...with serious familial issues.

I also still think George fessed up to the whole mess at the end and that's why Cindy did an about face to save Casey's @ss....that whole mess screamed of damage control. LOL

Do I think Casey is innocent, of course not...she lied about the death of her child, there is no innocence in that.

Do I like her, no...she seems weak, I don't like weak people very much typically.

...but I also think weak people, do really weird crap when they face trauma, most cave to it or run from it.

She seemed to run from it.

I still think George dumped Caylee though, with moderate help from Casey...he knew full well that a kidnapping, a death and no actual leads equals a closed homicide case.

He also fully well knew the area he lived, for all of you saying why so close to home...the place turns into a swamp yearly it appears, you think he isn't aware of his environment. LOL

Besides, this wasn't a baby that wandered off...this was a kidnapping supposedly, last place suspected would be close to home.

Casey had NEVER just up and left like that, but if that baby drowned while both she and George were responsible for her...all hell would break out in that family, Cindy would have both their heads.

...or at least I think that they truly believe that.

Okay love, testing your theory.

Casey would have to split for that cockamamie story to be presented, but her party girl thing had never been her before...so I am not going to use one month of the chick's life, as the full representation of who she was.

Especially not if she was flipping out with a dead little girl in her car. : P

Nor will I entertain Cindy's version of who Casey is...because Cindy doesn't even seem to be truthful about who she is as a person. LOL

You can all say that her behavior was abnormal, but textbook wise...it wasn't, it was a very well documented type of PTSD behavior.

...you can also say you wouldn't behave that way, and perhaps you wouldn't.

...or then again, perhaps you would.

I'd like to say I wouldn't, and in my mind I can see being basket case if any of my children passed away...but I honestly don't know what I would do in that situation, because I have never faced it.

Especially not with some other person involved telling me one thing, while my heart screams another.

I think I would desperately hope it wasn't real though.

Well, Cindy made an appointment to visit Casey this week, and Casey refused. The woman who did nothing but obfuscated the truth, committed perjury, obstructed investigators, enabled her criminal and sociopathic daughter - and now she's been rejected by Casey.

I hope Cindy gets it now.

Casey shouldn't have lied, especially to the police.

But we did a poll lately, and 80% of the WOMEN claimed that most American women would tell a lie bad enough to FALSELY imprison an ex-husband or ex-boyfriend.

If we locked them all up, there wouldn't be anyone around to bear babies.

But at least our roads would be much safer );

The Casey Anthony trial is now the beginning of a new era. Unfortunately, there now will be 'copy cat' men, and women, committing ghastly acts for the purpose of 'profiteering'. You see, once you become a 'celebrity', like Casey did, you only get a 'slap' on the wrist, and, become an instant 'MILLIONAIRE'.

No respect goes out to the jurors! You can't address the media, but you will 'come forward' for a price? This is the beast our Judicial system has created. Like it or not! They have set the trend for 'monsters' in our society to walk for the heinous crimes that they can commit, and because of the media circus instantly making them a star, will walk away with an 'innocent' verdict only to be a multi-millionare!
11:52 PM on 07/09/2011
Those jurors are showing the public exactly how low and disgusting they are.

Good news everyone, Casey has been released, and because of America's hatred of her sorry butt, she has been dropped off somewhere in Siberia.

Dang, I just had some coffee, and realize that was just a dream.

Is there any reason why you are obsessed? Let me simplify this for you.

I never said that George was a stand up guy, a great man or above reproach because he was a cop. I never said we cops are perfect, or that some of us don't belong in prison. I said that is was proven that he was not at home after the very early hours of June 16th. AND that it takes a fantastical leap of logic that he would make an accidental drowning look like a kidnapping and hide the body two blocks from his own house.

Furthermore, I as a logical person, will tend to believe 400 pieces of circumstantial evidence and 70 expert witnesses over a pathological liar, with sociopathic behaviour. You choose to believe otherwise. Lucky for Casey, the 12 Jurors had a lack of cognitive reasoning like you.

Now please go stalk someone else, cause while you are somewhat amusing, you are quite boring.

I disagree.

Our woefully inadequate legal system has made it abundantly clear that Casey Anthony does NOT, in fact, have to answer for why Caylee is not on this Earth anymore.

There will be no repenting. Only profiteering.

I had a good friend, a family therapist, who always said "there are two kinds of families, dysfunctional and very dysfunctional"
11:15 AM on 07/09/2011
I guess it depends on the standard that compares them. I expect that there is a norm of dysfunction too. None of us are perfect..so a perfect family is a figment of someone's ego.

I agree, dysfunction tends to breed dysfunction...imperfect can actually make the kids on the better side of the parents.
06:07 PM on 07/09/2011
You are exactly right...I rather resent the imperfect being called dysfunctional. I tried to be alittle suble about that..but I agree with you.

It's only a matter of time, give her enough rope. She get what's legally coming to her, just like O.J..

And you know that there will always be someone finding and tracking Casey until she does something to catch herself up. If she is hustled out of the country...she will be found.

Just like Joran Van DerSloot......he couldn't rein his homicidal tendencies in and neither will Casey.

She ought to move to Thailand, where child prostitution is encouraged as well as trafficking.....she and John Mark Carr would make a lovely couple.

I have not been wrong yet from the very beginning. Casey has already been released. That was a ploy yesterday with Cindy trying to go to the jail to visit. She is long gone!!!! And with Cindy. They are now in hiding. The Orange County Sherriff and the Orlando Police Department do not want a riot on their hands......No Casey No riots!!!! Peace and quiet. Trust be she is gone and Cindy is with her, George may be at home holding down the fort he is protected by the Police staked out at the house. NO SHOW FOLKS.............it is all over!!!!!! Just you watch!!!!!

Where is Caylee's father? Does anyone know who he is?
11:16 AM on 07/09/2011
The story is that he was killed in a car accident. Now that is very convenient but other than that...nada.
12:03 PM on 07/09/2011
I think she didn't know who the father was and it was "convenient" she came up with the story he was killed in an car accident. Who could follow up on that lie? IMO that was why Cindy was so ticked off at Casey, pregnant at 19, high school drop out, no job ever (two years of telling parents she was working, god knows where/what Casey was doing in that tme) Anyway, convenient father was killed off.
06:55 PM on 07/09/2011
According to the some of the talking heads she first named one person, DNA didn't match then another and DNA didn't match and the last one who might have a DNA match...was killed in a car accident. Now THAT is convenient. She has no idea who that baby's father is.

When any family is unfortunate enough to realize one of it's members is very disturbed it can shake the family foundation to it's core. I think the Anthony's realized a long time ago they were in trouble with Casey but unable to formulate a course of action. If they had known it would culminate in murder rather than other anti social behaviors I would surmise they would of sought help sooner.

It's difficult to believe a LEO and an RN couldn't formulate a course of action for Casey. At the very least, they knew from thier training not to enable her criminal actions.
