The 10 Most Expensive Public Business Schools For In-State Students

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 07/06/11 05:02 PM ET   Updated: 09/05/11 06:12 AM ET

According to an article in U.S. News and World Report, the average tuition and fees package offered to in-state students at the top 10 most expensive public business schools was $34,698 for the 2010-11 school year.

Though all ten business schools are good (all ten made it into the top 40 best business schools rankings and seven made it into the top 25), the prices are still astronomically high (and figures don't even include room and board, books, and other miscellaneous costs). The survey noted that four of the ten schools charged state resident more than $40,000 for the school year.

Fisher College of Business at THE Ohio State University - always believed the tuition offered great ROI; surprised to see raked as tenth most expensive of the public schools, though.

Go Bucks!!

It's a question of ROI, right? If you expect your future career to justify this expense, then it's well worth it. Students should absolutely, at the very least, ask themselves the ROI question, and this is true for any college degree.

If the world is to be a better place, business and law school need to be much more expensive and medical school needs to be free.....

These are actually some of the top business schools in the nation. It seems like everything else cars, TV's,etc, the better the school, the higher the tuition. You get what you pay for.

For what it's worth, Michigan, Berkeley and Virginia are in the USNews Report top five national undergraduate business schools along with Wharton and MIT. I wouldn't expect top national schools to price themselves cheaply just because they're "public."

... and that is why I went to UVA's much less known satellite campus... well that and i couldn't get into the main campus. lol. However, i paid around half the price! Well that, and I didn’t major in Business.
