Duchess Of Cambridge Goes Casual For Stop In Slave Lake, Alberta (PHOTOS)

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge departed from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories on Wednesday, which meant another outfit for Catherine and a peek inside her garment bags -- is that an evening gown we spy?

The former-Kate Middleton traveled in her Smythe blazer, first seen on day one of the couple's trip, a ruffled blouse, dark wash jeans secured with a Linda Camm belt and slingback wedges.

Will and Kate later touched down in Slave Lake, Alberta where they visited a part of town destroyed by wildfires two months ago. They reportedly spent the night at the romantic Chateau Lake Louise.

I see a pretty brown gown in that bag. Hope she wears her hair in chignon when she dons that gown.

Another photo of the Canadian soldiers had them "handling" the baggage with dog sniffers and equipment so there is a reason for this, not always what meets the eye. They do not go through customs. People who handle their things are few and limited. It is not an "insult" nor is it "demeaning", I think.

I cannot believe the disrespect to the Canadian soldiers. To be reduced to carrying their wardrobe. Seriously? They can check for security reasons but to make them carry it! They have worked in their lives and are much higher ranked than William, who is a rescue worker and his wife, who well, was a shopping assistant for a few months part-time. Just because they are royalty does not mean that real soldiers need to become bell-boys for them.

Form fitting jeans were a mistake. Should have gone khaki or chino - also appropriate for touring the scene of a fire. The blazer's unique cut would have worked better.
