Bradlee Dean Rants: Michele Bachmann-Linked Preacher's Bigoted Tirades (VIDEO)

First Posted: 07/08/11 06:47 PM ET Updated: 09/07/11 06:12 AM ET

WASHINGTON -- If you thought evangelical preaching needed longer hair, tattoos, nu-metal drumming, and a ton of hate speech directed at gays, then Bradlee Dean is your guy.

He's very much Rep. Michele Bachmann's guy. Bachmann, whose district covers Dean's suburban Minnesota headquarters, didn't just endorse Dean, but has prayed for him and his ministry, You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International, in a clip highlighted recently by City Pages.

"Would you keep them from evil?" Bachmann prays. "Would you keep them from pain?" Finally she begs the Almighty to "pour a triple blessing on this ministry" and expand it ten-fold.

Bachmann may come to regret her superfandom for Dean. One news outlet has already suggested that Dean might be her Jeremiah Wright. It's easy to make such a comparison. Dean has amassed quite a video log on YouTube of ultra right-wing conspiracy theories about New World Orders and made bigoted remarks directed at the LGBT community, Muslims and President Barack Obama. In Dean's world Hitler was gay and Obama is, of course, equal to Osama bin Laden.

Dean refused to comment about his association with Bachmann. A representative told The Huffington Post: "We're not tying ourselves with her... He's not interested in doing an interview."

The Bachmann campaign also had no comment.

But unlike Obama's connection with Rev. Wright, Bachmannn has raised cash for Dean, appeared on his TV show, and, well, prayed for God to significantly increase the number of schools Dean gets to visit.

Here is a video compiling just some of Dean's greatest hits, drum solo included.

Hmmm, controversial pastors are all the rage for politicians, I suppose. Bachmann, the carnival-barker, and her side-show preacher.

"prayed for God to significantly increase the number of schools Dean gets to visit."

My goodness the schools he gets to visit!!! Really, for all you wondering about the seperation of the church and state and it being up to the parents what faith is practiced, there is your evidence as to what Bachmann thinks needs to happen in schools. Lets get some religous fanatic up there, who compares Gays to to Ismalic people?!?! Anybody ever look up what happens in Islamic society to Homosexuals? I did:
http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hATGOzv6YSmgeMY1zdYbdpyrG2cw
According to Amahdinejad, they dont have Homosexuals, even though the records show they have killed people for being homosexual. This was the only thing I could find on how they kill homosexuals... effectivly they bury them alive under a wall that is "collapsed" upon the "offender",
http://www.well.com/user/queerjhd/sxislamictreatment.htm
And really it easier to look at the propaganda images than find articles, because no one "comes" out in Iran, the tolerance is as bad as this guys, Bachmann's spiritual leader. When he said there were no homosexuals he wasnt kidding. they kill them all to make sure.
Hmmm now lets compare the Islamic to Homosexuals shall we. if you can.
Remeber all the stuff we heard from Sharpton and such... your looking at propaganda my fellow Americans,

I would call to the attention of Mr. Dean, Rep. Bachmann, their supporters and followers, to the Treaty of Tripoli and the "Wall Letter," written by Thomas Jefferson in 1802"

It is absolutely amazing that none of the Bagger "history scholars" and even the history revisionists like David Barton and Glenn Beck have any awareness that we engaged in military action on the Barbary Coast, let alone that we signed the Treaty of Tripoli. I wonder what their explanation would be if they ever discussed it: "We didn't REALLY mean that!," perhaps?

Seriously, this Treaty of Tripoli's been publicized for years and years and years now, and it's easily googled or wiki-ed. Why is it that the Christian right won't at least acknowledge it?

Representatives of Christian Organized Religions will say anything to keep those donations/tithes/pledges coming in to provide their lavish lifestyles. The insults
of human intelligence overflows from these preachers who must face their God someday.

Michele Bachmann and your congregation.

Gawd, have you ever had this misfortune of seeing his hunting show?
Where he cradles a bleeding, dying animal and prays for it (instead of doing the merciful thing).

This guy is free to say whatever he wants to say, however, he is not preaching freedom for all. In an effort to refute the words of Barack Obama, he exposed his own warped concept of religious freedom in the 21st century. The words, "The Spirit of Freedom" are embroidered on his shirt.

This preacher's hatred and hypocrisy are evident. We Buddhists are, in most cases, easy targets, as many of us choose not to wade into the pool with haters and hypocrites. IMHO, this person needs to "shut up and play" his drums.

Where were the reports of Rev. Wright's anti-American tirades during Obama's election? What this preacher says (that homosexual acts are sinful) are often a religious point of view (Muslims hold homosexuality is sinful - but no videos of Imans stating that here either).

If Huffington was balanced, it would have published Rev. Wright's anti-American tirades.

And then the author of this video says the minister's drumming is a sin. Isn't that statement also a sin?

Hmmmm...running a nation and passing laws based upon ones idea of "God's vision". Deciding who is and who is not deserving of basic civil and human rights based upon warped religious ideology. Sounds a bit like some other "extremists" we've heard of, eh?

The fact that this id.iot is even a serious candidate, is a black eye to the United States.

Our education system is under attack, teachers are underpaid, and they don't qualify for training provided to even the lowest levels of employment in other professions. I have a friend who moved to a new state and was working for a fast food restaurant to put food on the table for her kids. She signed up for a free CPR class, everything was OK until she was hired as a full time teacher. She was informed that the CPR class is not covered for anyone classified as "education."

Regarding the black eye - well said!! In regards to your comments on education; I come from a family of educators and I couldn't agree more. We expect our teachers to do so much with so very little. One year my brother decided to log all the hours he put in as part of being a math teacher just to see how much he was paid per hour. Granted he was working for a private school at the time, so his pay was a bit less (not much, but some) than public teachers, but at year end it turned out he was making roughly $1.85/hour. Minimum wage hasn't been that low since he and I were in diapers. It's criminal and wrong and yet nothing is ever done to improve the situation.

Corporations hire engineers to make sure their products are the 'best'. They are paid at least triple - usually much more - what teachers make. The "products" our teachers are responsible for are our children. How we - as a nation - can live with ourselves with those types of priorities astounds me.

Amen. What with before school starts meetings with kids, after school meetings with kids, grading papers (sis teaches writing, if they write she has to read it) classes to keep her certification, classes to further her own education, mentoring the promising or the troubled, looking out for her own kids.....I guess she'll sleep after she retires.
