Casey Anthony NOT Offered $1 Million For Jerry Springer Appearance, Representative Says
UPDATE: Reps for "The Jerry Springer Show" have denied that they made the offer. "There is absolutely no truth to this story whatsoever," rep Gary Rosen told The Hollywood Reporter. "'The Jerry Springer Show' has not made any monetary offer to Casey Anthony and her family to appear on the program, nor will we."
Casey Anthony will soon be released from jail. Soon after, she could become an instant millionaire.
Anthony, found not guilty of murdering her two year old daughter Caylee on Tuesday, has been offered $1 million to appear on "The Jerry Springer Show," Radar Online reports. But it won't be a cake walk -- in vintage Springer style, the offer is contingent on her parents, Cindy and George, as well as her brother Lee, joining her on stage. Which, given the animosity within the family, would be sure to provide high drama.
Part of Anthony's defense involved her claim that she was molested by her father, and following her acquittal -- she was found guilty of smaller crimes involving lying to police -- Anthony's parents called her defense "baseless." Her ex-fiancee, Jesse Grund, called the family a "carnival of dysfunctionality," and said, "There is no way they have any semblance of a normal family life."
