Susanne Janson's two daughters and ex-husband died in the 2004 earthquake and tsunami in Thailand.

Throughout her time of grief, Janson said she felt connected to the Thai people, who she said had suffered even more than she had.

Janson, a CNN hero, decided to turn her tragedy into something that would help families in the country where she lost her own by starting an orphanage.

I thought she herself said ,this is a place for families not an orphanage. Sometimes the titles are not reflections of the stories, and one more thing, her daughters di ed in the tsunami not that they are lost.

God bless this loving woman, this mother.

Huffpo: She didn't lose her "kids", her 2 young daughters and their father, her ex-husband died. Also, she didn't start an orphanage, she formed a home for Thai families in need of help and care.

Take the trouble to read the data before posting the story and don't ever casually refer to a bereaved mother's deceased children as her 'kids'.
