Haute couture season has wrapped up in Paris, meaning we've got lots of crazy looks to ogle and imaginary wish lists to make (you know, for all those galas we go to).

So we've scoured the runways and come up with the top ten trends -- some silly, some serious -- that couturiers came up with for Fall/Winter 2011, from wacky feathers and headgear to fancy eyewear and ruffles.

Behold the good, the bad and the crazy of Haute Couture Week Fall 2011.

Stephane Rolland and Azzedine Alaia were magnificent. Wearable, great cuts, rich materials and colors, just overall great collections.

Some of these are quite "unique" if thats the correct word to use. Obviously not ready to wear, but thats what couture is about, pushing the boundaries and sometimes it works wonderfully, and sometimes is just down right kooky (see tentacles).

I liked these collections. They're haute couture, not ready-to-wear, so they're more like art/inspiration, not something you'd wear off the rack to work or a party.

Other than a few garments, I consider these to be costume outfits designed for Sci Fi not haute couture fashion. Guess that's why I am not a well known designer...lol.

All I can say is there might be 3 of the dresses that I would even consider wearing even if GIVEN to me.. NO ONE WANTS to look like BIG BIRD.. For God Sakes.. MAKE CLOTHES NORMAL PEOPLE WOULD WEAR... Not just Triple 0 size girls that are overpaid for their bodies..

Valentino has some classy dresses and I liked all of them in the slide show, also the off- white Chanel, and the yellow Kayrouz.

Okay ladies...seriously. Look at the 'tenticles' page and would anyone here, if it was GIVEN to you, really wear any of those? Would anyone here where any of those things, at all? Call me living in the 'dark ages' I guess, but a so called 'fashion' show like this to me is a total waste of time and money. I couldn't imagine even the world's richest women being caught dead much less alive in 99% of this stuff! It's all IMO lmbooooooooo!!

Agreed Mary you got me thinking (not always a smart thing for me) that is one reason the super rich prefer so many of their parties on islands, ships, and behind very tall walls. lol

I am not impressed at all. Some of the designs were very silly and not creative at all.

Dramatic but inconsequential for most of us who live in the real world.

You know, that tentacle thing is really, really funny. I mean, if someone showed up to a party in that thing, people would just start laughing.

The gimmicks to get attention are so pathetic. I like the red and yellow slides though. More of the fashion and less of the gimmicks please, designers.

Those are the 1% I may be caught wearing: the reds are not bad and the yellow dress that's on the far right - the short one, isn't bad. As for the rest - icky!
