Kate Middleton's Canada & California Tour Fashion Recap (PHOTOS, POLL)

During the fashion extravaganza that was the royal couple's North America tour, the Duchess of Cambridge gave us a few sartorial surprises and many more perfectly lovely yet predictable outfits.

What did we learn about the former Kate Middleton from her journey west?

For one, we were intrigued by Kate's newfound propensity for theme-dressing. In Canada, a diamond maple leaf brooch (borrowed from the Queen) made several appearances and for Canada Day she recreated the country' flag with a white dress and a red maple leaf hat. At the rodeo the Duchess and hubby Prince William played the part with ten-gallon hats, cowboy boots and cowboy shirts. Impressive attention to detail, Catherine.

Another finding: how loyal Kate is to her fave brands. She wore designers Issa, Anya Hindmarch, Catherine Walker, Jenny Packham, Erdem and Alexander McQueen two times each and she stepped out in LK Bennett a whopping nine times (at this point, LK Bennett should just send her a check).

Lastly, we were reminded yet again of why we like this royal so much: Catherine loves a good wardrobe repeat. She wore her Sebago boat shoes twice, her J. Brands at least three times, black LK Bennett wedges twice and those nude LK Bennett pumps a minimum of five times.

Below, behold the exhaustive round-up of every single outfit Catherine wore on her royal tour.

Trust me, I fully recognize the absurdity and/or the futility inherent in my putting what I am about to say on this particular section of Huffington Post - it is not lost on me - yet I feel that this is precisely the best place for it!! The massive and obsessive amount of press coverage now heaped on William and Kate is, of course, no surprise to me. What is somewhat surprising to me, however, is the near 100 percent focus on the young Kate's wardrobe choices - to the utter exclusion of all else - nothing on her phenomenal level of maturity or poise or evidences of kindness to everyone she meets in public or private - or even her obvious - and honest love for her husband. There is a massive imbalance here - and it should be addressed - but sadly, I fear it may not be!!

Duchess Catherine is a true fashion icon in that lace royal blue dress, which would have been more impressive if she had worn her hair in an upsweep or off the shoulders to show off the lace panel more.

Another dress with the pink jacket reminds me of designer, Coco Chanel, a favorite of mine.

I am sorry we are fixated on her clothes and fear we will make a Diana parody out of her.

It's not overly clear to me where the appeal started over the royal wedding, except for maybe the excessive amounts of money that went into it so people could enjoy seeing extravagant outfits and an over-the-top ceremony. http://bit.ly/pjUyps

The far right photo on #14 makes Kate look as if she has Devil horns.

I'd like to see her dress like Michelle Rodriguez in "Machete".

I loved everything she wore except the lace dresses. I did like the lace shirt, however.

Faved on that.

I liked the periwinkle, but not the cornflower. KIDDING, but I did like the blue lace that went the full length, the lace on the bodice was the only one I didn't care for.

Catherine is like that beautiful girl next door. She has that smile that is so beautiful, you could be living through the worst day of your life, and she could just sit down next to you, smile, and somehow everything would be better.

Forget for one moment how beautiful she is.

She is elegant and classy and everything that someone we would all like to be near.

I can't seen to reply to your direct reply to me about anorexia. I do know that it is a serious mental illness, but the physical aspect is extreme thinness. Diana was bulimic and I do believe that all the pressures to be thin make this condition worse. Don't think this was an issue in Reuben's day

She has the physique of Malia Obama. No curves.
04:20 PM on 07/12/2011
...but Malia Obama is only 13.

That's my point. She has the body of an adolescent. But for some odd reason many believe her body looks good. Now, I personally like her. I think they're an adorable couple and look to be really be in love. But dang she has no hips. Her body is just ..........straight.

I was thinking more along the lines of a young Jacky Kennedy, both in stature and style.
