Fluorescent lighting is breaking away from its dreary office stigma, illuminating everything from music to fashion. We've seen neon lights featured as a part of the music scene from the "Ghostbusters" music video to Janet Hansen's creations for Kanye West and M.I.A. onstage. Many of these artists & designers also use fluorescent lighting in their set design, which reference Dan Flavin's sculptural light installations. Recently Karl Lagerfeld merged light design & high fashion in the Chanel Fall 2011 Couture show. Click here to watch the full show which features LED lighted shoes at the end.
