Oscar-nominated actor, published author, decorated student, new media artist and, hey, why not throw in dance music dabbler in there, too?
James Franco clearly does not like having free time.
Though he's made clear his inability to sing on numerous occasions, Franco has just released his second collaboration with multimedia artist Kalup Linzy, called "Turn It Up." A dance track with autotuned vocals and an infectious beat, it features Franco beckoning the listener into the song at the beginning and later throughout the song.
It's the second release from Franco and Linzy, who are putting together a larger dance EP.
"James and I have collaborated for over a year. He contributed vocals during recording sessions," Linzy recently told Pitchfork. "He and I also exchanged video and vocals... James and I have both felt that sometimes developing projects separately and then bringing the other in later helps move the projects along.. The music is a part of an ongoing collaboration."
