Posted: Updated:

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Argentine President Cristina Fernandez is tweeting that she will soon be a grandmother.

"I'm going to have a grandchild! CFK grandma! God takes away, God provides," Fernandez wrote in a burst of Twitter messages on Wednesday.

Fernandez says her son Maximo's partner Maria Rocio Garcia is pregnant. Maximo runs family investments as well as a ruling party youth movement.

The president also tweeted that her niece Natalia is five months pregnant after years of fertility treatments. She is the daughter of social development minister Alicia Kirchner,

Fernandez says she's tweeting again for the first time since her husband Nestor Kirchner died last October. She thanked friends and aides for keeping the Twitter account active since then.
