Kathie Lee And Hoda Drink To Red Wine Study (VIDEO)

WATCH: Kathie Lee and Hoda's Dreams Come True

Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb's dreams came true on the "Today Show" Wednesday morning when they announced that red wine is "exercise in a glass."

The pair, who are known to enjoy the stuff juuuuuuuust a little bit during the fourth hour of the morning show, discussed a study that fed red wine to rats with positive effects. They ticked off the benefits, while pausing to sip and murmur "mmm" for each one.

Hoda said, "Apparently they fed red wine to rats and they found that... they didn't lose weight but they stayed strong
and also your good cholesterol is maintained." She also added, "It helps with bone density," "and insulin resistance"
while Kathie Lee chimed in, "It's good for your heart." (They took a lot of sips.)

The two also wished California-based winemaker Mondavi a happy 150th birthday. The announcement was months late, but was otherwise well-timed for Winesday Wednesday. "To Mondavi!" they exclaimed.
