Brrr…what is up with the gray skies and drizzly fog? To remind you that it is indeed July in SF, we’ve got Bastille Day drink specials, an ABBA tribute show and a silent film fest. Wherever you go, remember to bring layers!

Thursday
What:
Kim Nalley at Rrazz Room
Why: The lovely Ms. Nalley pays homage to Nina Simone. You must catch
her show if you haven’t yet heard her sing.

What: Bastille Day specials at Café des Amis
Why: Get your French groove on with $2.50 beers, $5 wines and
cocktails, and $1 oysters. There will be a cassoulet dish offered for
$27.

What:
When We Were Kids art opening
Why: The show explores children in play, power and poverty. Three
artists will present work that captures childhood imagination and lost
innocence from perspectives Filipinos growing up in the Philippines
and U.S.

Why: Happy hour at beloved Russian Hill restaurant. $3 Pilsner, $2

What:
ARRIVAL: The Music of ABBA show
Why: The world’s greatest ABBA tribute band comes to SF -- they will
team up with the fab SF Symphony.
When: 8pm

What: Disney Laugh-O-Grams at the Silent Film Festival
Why: One of the best film fests of the year, the Disney screening includes live piano accompaniment. Even if you have tickets, go early to get good seats.

Sunday
What:
Google Family Day at SFMOMA
Why: Families get to check out art activities and the Doodle 4 Google
student art contest. Free admission for families with kids under 12.

What: Tasty Awards wine tasting
Why: Hobnob with celebs from Food Network, Bravo and PBS. Wine
