Jazz Ison Sinkfield, Woman With 19 Feet Of Fingernails, Calls Them A 'Girl's Best Friend' (VIDEO)

Jazz Ison Sinkfield, a woman with a mega-manicure, is set to make an appearance on "My Strange Addiction." She previously told local Atlanta news that she hoped her tips would land her an interview with Oprah, but apparently TLC will do.

You see, Sinkfield has been growing her fingernails for 22 years -- the longest one is 24 inches and she has 19 feet of fingernails total. She tells the camera, "I just can't stop loving my kids so how could I stop loving my nails....They are a girl's best friend. They are precious to the heart."

Her husband has a different story, remarking, "Sometimes I think she gives her nails more attention than she gives me....She can't tie her shoes. Sometimes I have to help her with her clothes. She's very slow."

According to imdb.com, the episode airs July 17.

I wonder who if anyone does her housework? She's got some kind of aniety problem...it can't be practical or comfortable. I don't care how many tricks she can do with them
I can just imagine when she's in public....omg...the negative attention she must get. Society, as sophisticated as it is, doesn't entirely accept the unusual very much...

Nurses are required to keep short nails because bacteria can grow under them. So, let's extrapolate from there with this lady. I hope she gets some help.

I'm an RN and we keep our nails less than 1/4" for exactly the same reasons....but we deal with patients whose immunity to germs is compromised. Hopefully your average person is healthy.

I've seen women with varying degrees of this, and I always think mental illness. Aside from the obvious nastiness of it (it really does look disgusting), no other explanation to why someone would purposely hobble themselves -- creating a situation where EVERYTHING you do is monumentally more difficult -- for zero apparent rational reason would possibly make any sense.

I saw her on CNN. Her husband is a minister and she is a housewife. I don't know how she was able to grow her nails so long, I can't get mine to grow longer than the quick, they just break off before they get any longer. My neice once had nails that were at least five inches long. They were so long they were a distraction. As long as she isn't hurting anyone and her family is willing to put up with her, what business is it of ours? Frankly, she is just a curiosity. Now some of the other people on that show are just plain doing things to themselves that are truely dangerous. Like the laxative woman. Click over to TNT and check her out.
