Shoe shoppers and star gazers, if you were headed out to Long Island for some Nikes from Nikki, time to find some other plans.
Reports spread worldwide last week that Nikki Blonsky, star of the film "Hairspray" and the short-lived TV series, "Huge," was now working in a shoe store in Great Neck, New York. Turns out, the retail job was just a one-day experiment.
"So much false reporting! & false quotes. NO career changing! just experimented 4 a day working @ a friends boutique 2 see what it was like," Blonsky tweeted on Tuesday. "NO singing or dancing happened, but it was fun trying something new for a day : )"
It seems, then, that there was some confusion, as RadarOnline quoted store owner Steven Dann as saying Nikki was working, "two to three days a week dependent on her schedule."
Looks like one boutique may be down an employee.
