A former lobbyist for Raytheon was given a Dep. Sec. of Defense position by the Pres. Obama- Wm. J. Lynn III. Pres. over-rode his 2 year ethics rules stipulation for lobbyist appointments to place him in this position.

Is every move in Washington now used as a bargaining chip or blackmail by Republicans? Democrats are no less guilty with their silence.

What kind of men and women are they that they would use, what I see as being illegal, such underhanded tactics to get not what Americans need, but what their financial backers want?

Why aren't more Democrats or Republicans screaming from the rooftops about this. Isn't that their jobs. To stand up and give an ethical voice to the corrupt conflicts now occurring within and between our government lawmakers?

Lawmakers, no less. People who deem themselves to be the best and therefore deserving of their seats in government. along with all the wonderful perks.

Why all the silence and only small "leaks" here and there as to how broken our government has become.

If a politician is not now speaking out as to the real root of this fiasco, then count them in as one of those who are on the take.

If this is the case? Very few are not. Both parties.

There might be a silver lining if she would run successfully for Mass. Senator. It might turn out to be a more effective position by the time this congress massacres the powers of this agency.

I had to laugh, too, when I saw this article came from the WSJ, no less.

No every reporter on the Journel is a Murdochian, but editors have to be somewhat his minions.

If it isn't Warren, Obama will pay a very heavy price.

The name does not matter, it will be someone from the corporate world and probably a former lobbyist.

I am getting tired of saying "there must be a good reason for this" when I cannot see a good reason at all.

I don't understand how G.W. Bush could get so many creeps nominated and Pres. Obama can't get a great person like Elizabeth Warren nominated? President Obama, don't you have any good bargaining chips (dirt) that you can use to push her through?

Larry Summers?

Obama is simply doing what we all now expect him to do regarding Elizabeth Warren - to act as a gutless coward. And notice how soon his decision came after Warren criticized his administration's handling of the foreclosure crisis.
